About Me
Valerie Abitbol | Psychotherapist | Couple and Family Therapist
I am a licensed psychotherapist and a couple and family therapist (CFT).
I am a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ) and hold a psychotherapy permit issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ).
I also maintain active licenses as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado and California.
In my practice, I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, the Hakomi Method, trauma-informed practices, and meditation.
I believe that you are the expert of your own life and experience.
My role is to support and accompany you in reconnecting with your authentic self, so you can live more fully and with greater wholeness.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in diverse professional environments, which deepened my ability to relate to a wide range of clients.
In earlier chapters of my life, I was a modern dance teacher, a waitress, a paralegal, and an advertising account director.
I have always remained a lifelong learner.
